Dawn of Satyam's 7th Day
January 7, 1938 was the Holy Day of the blossoming of our Guru H.H.Paranjothi Mahan as the Primordial Lord Paranjothi. Till that day, H.H. Paranjothi Mahan was an ordinary human being, but with an intense yearning for 27 long years to see God. On that particular day, the fire in him was kindled through an initiation by a seer and within minutes he unfolded as the Primordial Lord Paranjothi, otherwise known as 'Satyam'. It was the day he flourished in Enlightened Glory.

It is highly noteworthy that in 1981 our Jagat Maha Guru chose the same day January 7 to depart from his body. The day of His initiation and return, fall on the same day - January 7. Certainly this was not an accident or a co-incidence but a "Day of Truth" that the Almighty wanted the world to note.

It is important to explain the significance of the number 7 here.

  • All shades are contained in the 7 basic colours - VIBGYOR - that emanates from pure white
  • All sounds in the Universe and 'swaras' in traditional music are contained in 7 basic notes.
  • The human body, which is the outcome of the evolutionary process is contained in 7 elements of matter - blood, flesh, fat, nerves, bone, bone marrow and semen.
  • Each couplet in the Thirukural, a Tamil Scripture of India by the saint Thiruvalluvar is composed of 7 words

The number 7 is iconic because the entire Universe exists in it . The Primordial Lord is indeed the ultimate source for this 7, formless form and form.

H.H. Paranjothi Mahan blossomed as the Primordial Lord, which is the Ultimate Source of the basic 7, on this Holy Day of January 7, 1938. Therefore, our Ashram celebrates 7th of January every year as the Dawn of the Primordial Lord (Satyam).

Gnanodaya Dina Vizha or Dawn of Wisdom Day

Service

We cannot reach the end of the path to realization without helping other people spiritually. Service activities are means to take spirituality to all.

The Supreme sustains all creations with infinite love and compassion, unbiased, without expecting anything in return. So should we, His children, offer ourselves in the service of our fellow beings.

Yagna Peedam

Yagna Peedam Yagna means to serve the world at large and expecting nothing in return. In this way, Yagna is a form of worship indeed. Paranjothi Gnanaoli Yagna Peedam, a non-governmental organization, was founded in 2006 by our revered Guru, Sri Sri Paranjothi Gnanaoli Mahan as a symbol of gratitude to Mother Nature. The administrative office is at Chennai and the service activities are carried out at Namandi, a village 13 km from Kanchipuram and Kayapakkam, a village 12 km from Achirupakkam.

The Yagna Peedam at Namandi runs a home for needy children. It aims to bring out a complete individual in man with noble qualities and necessary skills to be self-dependent and useful to the society. At Yagna Peedam, children are given experiential learning in a natural surrounding which gives them complete and lasting knowledge and makes them love Mother Nature ardently.

The Supreme manifests itself as superior intelligence (Heavenly father) and eternal energy (Divine mother). Paranjothi Gnanaoli Mahan's vision is to instill this truth in children so that they will grow up to become torch-bearers of this message around the world.

  • Organic Farming
  • Youth development workshops

Organic farming
Yagna PeedamTraditional methods of farming are practised here. Organic fertilizers (Pancha kavyam) and pesticides (Amirtha karaisal) are prepared here. Paddy, pulses and vegetables produced using these natural fertilisers are free from artificial flavors, preservatives, harmful chemicals and are nourishing.

The harvested unpolished rice is completely fat free and contains a high content of carbohydrates and low sugar as well. Cattle rearing and organic farming complement each other. While the cattle dung is used for preparation of organic fertilizers and pesticides, the agricultural waste (hay) serves as food for the cattle.

This integral natural cycle leaves one awe-inspired at the wonderful plan of the Omnipotent. About 1,500 tree saplings have been planted as a symbol of love and gratitude to Mother Nature.

Youth development workshops
Yagna PeedamThe foundation of every country lies in the education of its youth. With the goal of strengthening our communities for tomorrow, Yagna Peedam conducts personality development programs for adolescent children and youth. These programs encompass a wide range of topics including organic farming techniques, environmental hazards, health and yoga, career guidance and skill development opportunities through lectures and practical demonstrations. Outbound adventure events, treasure hunts and camp fire lighten up these programs.

Village school children show great enthusiasm to participate in these workshops as these pave way for an out-of-school campus, active and fresh air learning. Such workshops open the young minds to the real world, help them to integrate socially and plan for a better future.
